Amazon A to Z moves to manual instructions

Amazon A to Z now requires passkeys to sign in, so Amazon corporate and warehouse employees get manual instructions while we explore other approaches.

Amazon A to Z has started enforcing passkey-only login. It covers Amazon corporate and warehouse employees and is Atomic’s 10th-largest connector by login-page volume, about 18th by completed volume. Our payroll connectivity team has been investigating alternative login methods to unblock these members.

On September 4 Atomic moves Amazon A to Z to manual instructions while our development team explores other approaches.

Passkeys

Most systems that have adopted passkeys still allow traditional sign-in. To date only a few employers require passkeys as the only method, and Amazon A to Z is the first large system to do so. Passkey-only login tends to be chosen only when a system faces high rates of fraud or an employer has strict security requirements. Many people have pushed back on passkeys because of the user experience and the restrictions on which devices can sign in, so while adoption is growing we do not expect passkey-only login to become common.

Beyond passkeys, Atomic continues to push forward direct partnerships with payroll companies, government systems, and large employers. CoAuth is uniquely able to provide both stronger security and a better member experience for direct deposit.
