PayDetect

Testing to begin in June

PayDetect

PayDetect uses aggregated bank transaction data to detect a member’s recurring bills, subscriptions, and direct deposits. We have now built this capability in-house, so Atomic can analyze transaction data from any source.

With PayDetect you can personalize a member’s direct deposit setup by pre-selecting a high-confidence income source and bypassing employer search. It works like CoAuth Prescreen: Atomic exposes a dedicated API you send transaction data to for analysis.

Atomic is now an official Plaid processor partner, so we can pull the required transactions directly with a processor token. If you already use Plaid for transaction aggregation, enabling PayDetect is easier than ever. See the Plaid processor token guide in the docs.

Improved manual fallback CTAs

Behind a feature flag · Becomes the default UI in August

Improved manual fallback CTAs

To improve direct deposit recovery rates, meaning members who fail out of Atomic but set up direct deposit on their own, the manual fallback calls to action are now more direct. This is behind a feature flag now and becomes the default for all members next month.

This only applies to customers using either the Manual Fallback CTA or the Atomic Manual Flow.

Improved StandardAuth login

Production testing · Phased rollout

Improved StandardAuth login

As mentioned in the May update, the StandardAuth login experience now behaves more like a traditional login page. It is being tested in production where TrueAuth Desktop is not yet supported, and results on its impact will follow.

  • Phase 1 (live): consolidated login inputs, and members return to the login screen when credentials are incorrect
  • Phase 2: updated login page UI
  • Phase 3: the new confirmation interstitial, so selecting an account and amount happens before authentication, as TrueAuth Desktop already does

Live now

Additional CoAuth integration options for customers who want Atomic to handle member lookup and consent. We still recommend the Prescreen CoAuth approach, but not every customer can use it. If you have not yet integrated CoAuth, now is a good time: more partners are expected online in Q3.

ADP CoAuth

Live now

  • Now supports dark mode
  • Now supports a preset allocation amount. If you already send one, ADP CoAuth sets it for members as they go through ADP’s UI

Manual instructions and copy account info page

Live now

  • Support for the JIT flow with multiple accounts
  • An account picker so members can change which account’s details are shown

French language support

Live now

As Atomic expands into the Canadian banking market, Transact now supports French (Canadian) alongside Spanish and English. The Atomic manual PDF also supports Spanish and French.

A/B tests

Expected to start in July

  • Progress bar: a progress indicator in the navbar as members move through the funnel, testing whether seeing how few steps remain keeps more members in setup
  • TrueAuth interstitial: on average 22% of members drop out on this screen, so we are testing variations of visuals and copy, followed by the confirmation screen TrueAuth Desktop already uses

Gig debit card payout switching

Coming soon

A highly anticipated capability to improve gig funding rates and conversion. With Atomic now PCI compliant and experienced in card switching, we can help you add a member’s debit card on file as the payout method for Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash.
