SDK releases: TrueAuth improvements and iOS arm64e support

May through July releases across iOS, Android, Capacitor, React Native, and Flutter: a rebuilt Android TrueAuth browser, faster iOS launches, arm64e slices, and new build requirements.

This update covers releases from May through July across iOS, Android, Capacitor, React Native, and Flutter. Most updates are straightforward. The highlights call out the changes most likely to affect your app, build setup, or integration code.

Upgrade planning

The default Android SDK now requires Android Gradle Plugin 8.9+ and Gradle 8.11.1+. Flutter 3.15.0 also requires Android API 23+ and compile and target SDK 35. On the Apple side, current iOS releases require iOS 15+ and Xcode 26.1+. Review platform and build-tool requirements before scheduling an upgrade.

Manage action integrations

Capacitor 1.1.0 and Flutter 3.15.0 remove the deprecated presentAction API. Manage actions now launch through the normal Transact flow. Update Manage action launch code before adopting either release.

Android TrueAuth browser

Android 3.22.0 rebuilds the browser used during authentication with a toolbar and close button. It also dismisses the keyboard after authentication and keeps the browser hidden during rotation, folding, and split-screen changes.

iOS arm64e support

iOS 3.34.0 adds arm64e framework slices for apps that explicitly adopt arm64e and Apple’s enhanced-security capabilities. It does not change behavior for apps that do not opt in.

Reliability improvements

Android sessions now tolerate transient network errors while the host app is backgrounded, and multiple Transact instances no longer overwrite each other’s callback handlers. iOS launches are roughly 0.4 seconds faster after an underlying framework update, and iOS fixes an intermittent invisible close button in the TrueAuth browser. Android 3.23.1 also prevents unintended Google Play filtering on landscape-only devices and hardens cross-origin redirects.

Wrapper SDKs include native SDK updates

Capacitor 1.1.0, React Native 3.19.0, and Flutter 3.15.0 each include iOS 3.33.2 and Android 3.22.0, so the native improvements in those versions, such as faster iOS launch, TrueAuth improvements, and Android session resilience, apply to the wrappers too.

Important: iOS CocoaPods publishing

This applies to integrations that consume Atomic’s iOS SDK through CocoaPods. CocoaPods is deprecated upstream, and publishing new iOS SDK versions to the CocoaPods Trunk has become unreliable. We will continue publishing there while we are able, but cannot guarantee that future releases will be available through the Trunk.

We recommend migrating to Swift Package Manager. Migration can be gradual, since CocoaPods and SPM can be used in parallel. If you must continue using CocoaPods, point your dependency at Atomic’s GitHub repository rather than the CocoaPods Trunk. You can also download release artifacts directly from GitHub if you manage dependencies manually.

  • Added French language support, system-language selection, manual-fallback deeplink routing, and performance milestone timings for Transact presentations
  • The public token no longer appears in the Transact initialize URL
  • Rebuilt the TrueAuth browser with a toolbar and close button, and improved its behavior after authentication, rotation, folding, and split-screen changes
  • Added a debug flag for WebView inspection and SDK logging. Backgrounded sessions now recover from transient network errors instead of closing
  • The default SDK now requires AGP 8.9+ and Gradle 8.11.1+
  • Added account and merchant deeplinks with an accountId
  • Multiple Transact instances can now run without overwriting one another’s callback receivers
  • Prevents consuming apps from being unintentionally filtered from Google Play on landscape-only devices
  • Removes authorization and cookie headers when an in-app browser redirect crosses to a different origin
  • Added French language support and manual-fallback deeplink routing
  • The public token no longer appears in the Transact initialize URL
  • Replaced an internal framework with Uplink, improving initial Transact launch time by roughly 0.4 seconds
  • Added uplinkSessionUrl configuration for apps that need control of Uplink sessions after native authentication
  • Modernized embedded-browser JavaScript evaluation for current WebKit behavior
  • Fixed an issue that could make the TrueAuth browser close button invisible when an app changes navigation-bar appearance globally
  • Added arm64e framework slices for apps that explicitly adopt arm64e and Apple’s enhanced-security capabilities
  • Added account and merchant deeplinks and improved asynchronous callback handling for multiple Transact instances
  • Removed presentAction and PresentActionOptions. Launch Manage actions with presentTransact instead
  • Added Android debug logging through onDebugLog and simpler production and sandbox environment configuration
  • Includes iOS 3.33.2 and Android 3.22.0
  • Added Android debug logging and WebView inspection support
  • Includes iOS 3.33.2 and Android 3.22.0, bringing the corresponding launch-time, browser, and session-resilience improvements
  • Removed presentAction. Launch Manage actions through Atomic.transact(...)
  • Added Android debug logging through onDebugLog and updated the bundled SDKs to iOS 3.33.2 and Android 3.22.0
  • Requires Xcode 26.1+ on iOS, and AGP 8.9+, Gradle 8.11.1+, Android API 23+, and compile and target SDK 35 on Android
