Atomic Receives The Salt Lake Tribune’s Top Workplace 2022 Award

Lindsay Davis

Head of Markets

Just three years after its launch, Atomic is pleased to announce that we’ve been awarded Top Workplace 2022 by The Salt Lake Tribune.

In its ninth year running, the Top Workplace Program celebrates Utah’s best businesses that excel at prioritizing organizational health and workplace engagement for their employees.  Companies with 35 or more employees are eligible for consideration and must undergo an anonymized employee survey process. At the end of the survey period after results are validated, the companies with the highest scores are announced as winners.

For Atomic, this award is particularly rewarding, coming several months after our Series B funding and our recognition as Best Banking Solution 2022 by Fintech Breakthrough Awards.

At Atomic, our belief has been that culture is greater than strategy, and that’s a belief we attempt to live day in and day out in all we do.

Since our founding in 2019, we’ve strived to foster a culture where talent can accomplish their best and thrive–and where employees can discover and nurture the best iteration of themselves both professionally and personally. One such way Atomic promotes this is by encouraging employees to give back to their communities.

About Atomic

  • Founded in 2019 by Jordan Wright and Scott Weinert
  • First-to-market a direct deposit set up and switching solution, called Deposit.
  • Industry-competitive conversion in users setting up and updating accounts and higher rates of successful authentication.
  • Awarded Best Banking Solution 2022 by Fintech Breakthrough Awards.
  • Secured $62M combined from Series A and B fundings

For instance, in November 2021, Atomic employees voluntarily donated funds allocated toward their holiday gifts to instead benefit Afghan refugees new to Utah. To promote a culture of giving and volunteerism year round, Atomic also offers five paid volunteer days a year to every employee.

At the helm of shaping Atomic’s culture are the company’s co-founders Jordan Wright, CEO, and Scott Weinert, CTO, who themselves are hard advocates for charitable causes and proponents of building a workplace that promotes inclusivity.

With their years of leadership and experience with startups, Jordan and Scott have served as guest speakers on podcasts like Think Like a Leader and Bank on It Podcast, where they’ve shared candidly about proven leadership tactics, how to build a great company and how to foster a healthy company culture.

The Salt Lake Tribune’s recognition of Atomic as one of Utah’s top workplaces is an honorable validation of the co-founders’ and company’s efforts toward building a remarkable workplace.

The Top Workplace 2022 award is one team Atomic accepts with pride and humility. We’re elated at the recognition and we also realize our work has just begun. Atomic is excited to continue on its journey toward greatness in all we do: for our employees, stakeholders and consumers.
